One of our favourite places! Have an aperitif in the library then continue your meal on the terrace or in the nicely decorated dining room, very cozy and welcoming.
Lovely cuisine, fine and seasonal, using a few ingredients from the restaurant’s vegetable and herbs garden. The service is great, chic and casual at the same time.
You can taste the great wines of Château Cos d’Estournel, but take a look at their second wines, the G or Les Pagodes, they are worth the detour.
Restaurant and cocktail bar, facing the docks and the port of Pauillac.
Its brasserie decor makes it the ideal place to chat over a glass of wine and share generous family cuisine that reflects the seasons and local products from the Médoc region. To accompany this gourmet getaway, the Café Lavinal offers a rich wine list with many regional and international references. On the small cobbled square, the sunny terrace of this real living space enjoys one of the prettiest views of the restored village of Bages over the new cellar of Lynch Bages Castle, which favors light and transparency.
We really like this one. Small and simple with a good spirit. Modern, fresh, tasty and well presented.
A place that offers à la carte dishes as well as daily menus, made with love and seasonal products from a short supply chain. They have a fine list of local wines, by the glass and the bottle.
Typical French cuisine.
Lovely terrasse, in front of the village church. Simple cuisine with taste.

Right in front of the ocean and the beach, really nice food, nice cocktails… just the perfect spot.
Terrace with view on the beach, nice cuisine and wines, run by a friend of ours.
Not in front of the ocean, but in a lovely garden, great cuisine, a little bit more « chic ».
Good pizza & beautiful desserts. A place for coffee lovers.

Nice location with view on the lake, great local seafood or duck specialties, with french fries with garlic of course!
Pizza with a twist!
It is in this small village famous for its prestigious castles and its fort, a UNESCO heritage site, that we find an incredible restaurant. It combines the full and authentic flavors of Médoc with the sweet and refined aromas of Japanese cuisine, creating a truly unique gastronomy! We are inevitably surprised but not disconcerted, sobriety on the plate and fresh local produce harmonize naturally: from starter to dessert it is a real and beautiful discovery, a cuisine made from local and seasonal products!
A real institution in the Médoc with traditional cuisine that tastes good. Customers love this simplicity, this generous and well-made local cuisine. The chef offers cheeky dishes for amateurs, for example a “grenier médocain” on his tomato basil tartare and fennel granita, or veal’s head with ravigote. A wide choice of dishes, the highlighting of the surrounding castles and the kindness of the service contribute to the lasting success of this village house in the middle of the vineyards.
Located at Château Marquis d’Alesme, la Table de Nathalie, is an oasis of calm nestling at the heart of the estate, that offers visitors an opportunity to pause for a while and enjoy some delicious food in charming surroundings. The herbs, the flowers and most of the delicious vegetables served in the restaurant come from our vegetable garden and are picked fresh every morning; the produce used for our menu is carefully sourced from local suppliers who are passionate about their work.
The Café menu is inspired by its region, the Bassin, and its history, a bistro. In a tapas format, to share or not, the offerings are essentially homemade.
On the menu, seafood dishes like a warm octopus terrine with gribiche sauce or cockles with seaweed butter. There are also great classics: oysters accompanied by crepinettes as it was customary to serve them in the past. The essentials of the French bistro such as, for example, eggs and mayo, leek vinaigrette, herring apples in oil or homemade terrines are also available.
A warm and original place.
…
Nestled on the water’s edge, but well hidden in the fishing district behind the Ferret Lighthouse, Cabane d’Hortense is the most glamorous spot for eating oysters on the Presqu’île. A magical setting with your feet in the sand with a grandiose view of the Mimbeau conche and the Pilat Dune.

A large typical wooden terrace, simply decorated tables, but above all delicious cuisine whose reputation is well established. The turbo a la plancha is divine and the mussels absolutely essential.
Of course it’s a bit pricy, but they are still very reasonable given the quality of the cuisine and the good time spent. In short, Chez Hortense is an essential address for your holidays in Cap Ferret, so don’t leave it at the last minute to reserve a table!
La Co(o)rniche is a great place to go for several reasons: the breathtaking view of the Arcachon basin and the Pilat dune, the decoration made by Stark and the fresh and elaborate cuisine. Chic but without fuss. Just perfect.
