The Médoc Cœur de Presqu’île Community of Municipalities has instituted a tourist tax of €1.05 per person per night across its entire territory. This amount is included in the price of your room. The tax is used to promote tourism within the community or for expenses related to the protection and management of natural spaces for tourism purposes in our region.
The balance is due at the end of your stay. Meals and additional services not mentioned in the deposit invoice, contract, or quote will be settled at the end of your stay.
We are equipped with a payment terminal and accept payments by card or cash.
We understand that you may want to enjoy your vacation spot as soon as possible, but the 5 PM arrival time has not been chosen at random.
It allows us to provide you with the best possible welcome while taking into account our needs and constraints, giving us time to clean the premises and rooms, do laundry, maintain the outdoor areas, stock up on provisions, prepare the next day’s breakfast, and respond to information and reservation requests. Let’s not forget we also have other personal and professional activities alongside running the guesthouse.
Your room will be ready to welcome you from 5 PM, and it must be vacated by 11 AM on the day of departure to allow us to prepare it for the next guests. Please let us know if you expect to arrive after 8 PM.
For the same reasons as for early arrivals, it is not possible to stay after the scheduled check-out time of 11 AM.
Yes, babies are of course welcome! We can provide a crib (subject to availability). Please make a request when booking. We can also provide a high chair if needed.
Apart from the baby, our rooms are not designed to accommodate more than 2 people.
No, pets are not allowed.
Fresh, local, organic, homemade – that’s how we can sum it up.
On our daily changing buffet, you will find seasonal organic fruits (from our garden when possible), dried fruits, homemade cakes, pastries, baguette and various breads (from our village bakers), organic yogurt or white cheese, real good farm butter with a touch of salt, homemade jams, and raw milk cheeses.
For hot drinks, we offer organic, fair-trade coffee in a French press, hot chocolate from Poulain, or a selection of organic black and green teas. For cold drinks, you’ll find organic apple juice, flavored waters, or homemade iced teas.
Breakfast is served between 9 AM and 10 AM. Please let us know in advance if you wish to have breakfast earlier, and we’ll try to accommodate you.
We do not offer a traditional dinner service, but we do offer local charcuterie and cheese boards for an aperitif. These boards must be booked as early as possible during your stay, as they are subject to availability.
Yes, you can picnic in the garden, on the terrace, or inside the bar or dining room if these areas are available. In any case, please notify us in advance. Please respect the premises and furniture, and remember to sort your waste and minimize waste when possible.
Eating or drinking (except water) in the rooms is prohibited.
To enjoy on-site, with your meal, or to take away, our bar offers a selection of local beers, wines from Bordeaux from friends and neighboring winegrowers, and of course, Champagne from Audrey’s family.
Since we are only acting as a distributor, for legal reasons, all alcohol is sold by the bottle, not by the glass.
We have both been very sensitive to environmental issues for many years, and now living in the countryside only strengthens our convictions.
We’re not perfect, but we do our best to provide a clean and healthy environment for our guests, as well as healthy, natural, and local food.
We minimize food waste and our use of plastic. We sort our waste and encourage our guests to do the same.
In the spirit of responsibility and sobriety, we also ask guests to be mindful of turning off lights and towel dryers when leaving their rooms.v
We work with bakers from Montalivet and Saint-Laurent who deliver to the village. For the rest, we source from the local farmers’ store in Cissac, organic shops, or local markets, all within 10 km.
We don’t use frozen products from large industrial groups or professional wholesalers.
We make our jams, cakes, herbal teas, and when it’s the season for plums, apples, or blackberries, they come from our garden.
For food scraps that cannot be reused, we have a compost that we use to enrich our little vegetable garden.
You won’t find a pool on our property. To us, it’s both ecologically and economically nonsensical. But we have something better… the Atlantic Ocean or Lake Hourtin, just 30 minutes from the house!
We clean the rooms ourselves, using eco-friendly, natural, refillable products, such as vinegar, black soap, household alcohol, steam, and elbow grease!
We disinfect the bedding with steam after each stay.
We are not a hotel, and for common-sense and ecological reasons, we don’t change sheets and towels every day. For stays longer than 3 days, you can request fresh towels and a room refresh.
Linen is washed in an eco-friendly, organic laundry detergent. Whenever possible, we dry it outdoors, in the air and sunlight.
